Season Championships set for Friday

The Fort Dodge Ford-Lincoln-Toyota Sports Park Raceway is ready to crown our track champions for the 2023 season this Friday, Sept. 1.

The final night of racing action at the Sports Park Raceway is open for drivers to come out and capture some Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series national points.

The current points leaders are Devon Havlik, Ty Griffith, Bill Crimmins, Bryce Sommerfeld and Tyler Crimmins.

It all comes down to the final night for the tight battle in the "King of the Park" points standings.

Griffith and Tyler Crimmins continue to lead the way with 238 points, and Sommerfeld is third with 228 markers.

The winner will pocket $1,000 if they can take home the trophy.

Grandstands will be $12 for adults or just $10 for juniors, seniors and miltary. Youth 11 and under are free. Pit passes are $30 for drivers and $20 for youth.

Hot laps will kick off at 7 p.m. with racing to follow.
