Sports Park Raceway hosted a competitive Saturday night of racing in the Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series, featuring USRA Modifieds, USRA Stock Cars, USRA B-Mods, USRA Hobby Stocks, and USRA Tuners. The event, with a $1,000-to-win purse for the USRA Modifieds, showcased intense battles on the 4/10-mile dirt oval.
In the USRA Modified Feature, Lyle Sathoff of Sherburn, Minn., took the $1,000 prize after starting third. Lee Beemer of Fairmont, Minn., finished second, followed by Michael Parcel of Bondurant in third. Robert Bennett of Woolstock secured fourth.
The USRA Stock Car Feature saw Jason Minnehan of Churdan take the win from the second starting position. Jackson Vsetecka of Fort Atkinson finished second, while Chance Larson of Welcome, Minn., claimed third. Parker Slagle of Eagle Grove took fourth, and Jason Purvis of Boone rounded out the top five.
In the USRA B-Mod Feature, Klay Beemer of Fairmont, Minn., won from the pole. Ty Griffith of Blairsburg finished second, followed by Dustin West of Radcliffe in third. Ted Gould of Sheldahl took fourth, and Randy Winter of Winnebago, Minn., completed the top five.
The USRA Hobby Stock Feature saw Jeremy Crimmins of Fort Dodge claim victory from the third starting spot. Riley Crimmins of Fort Dodge took second, followed by Bryce Sommerfeld of Fort Dodge in third. Wade Gilliland of Callender finished fourth, and Eli Dohrmann of Hampton rounded out the top five.
In the USRA Tuner Feature, Sam Schmitt of Wall Lake won from the third starting position. Alyssa Thies of Mapleton took second, followed by Charles Prime of Britt in third.
